Imphal, June 27 2013: Regional Centre of Organic Farming (RCOF), Imphal has organised a two days training for field functionaries/Extension officer on organic farming at the centre located at Langol Road, Lamphelpat here during June 25 and 26 .
According to a press release of RCOF, the training was inaugurated by Dr N Iboton Singh, Dean College of Agriculture (CAU) under the chairmanship of P Ravindranath, Officer in-charge RCOF, Imphal.
Dr NI Singh expressed his willingness to promote organic farming and said such type of training will encourage the progressive farmers of Manipur to earn premium price through their agricultural produce, it added.
The release added that Dr Kh Ibohal Singh and Dr Sumarjit Singh, Sr Asst Professor and Professor respectively from CAU; Dr L Ibomcha Singh, Manager One Cert Asia, Manipur; Himat, Secretary General Green Foundation, Manipur; and P Ravindranath and JB Karmakar of RCOF, Imphal were the resource persons of the said training.
